It’s a zine about how water steadies one’s grief.
‘I swim, pooling the water hoping for steadying. Standing facing the trees over the lido walls, I feel freedom and joy.

Mandu Gathering Handbook
16 pages, risograph printed at LCBA, staple bound
This small book holds a series of drawings made during Mandu Gathering, an event I organised and participated in with Umma last autumn.
We made mandu together, using the act as a prompt for drawing, thinking, making, and caring for the relationship between us.
The making of this book was a deliberate tool to document the 10 days we spent together. We were both present, porous, and sensitive to each other’s words, gestures, and offerings, aware that even the smallest moment might leave a resonance in the other’s everyday life, once we returned to being apart.
Mum suggested adding mung bean sprouts. I said no.
Avocado salads were made.
Plates lined the cook’s worktop – workers must be fed.
Black coffee. White coffee. The kettle always boiling.
